Green Commitment
I believe that success in business can not only be measured in financial terms, but also in how we operate in the context of community and environment, assuming responsibility for our business activities as part of a global eco-system.
I'm committed to eliminating or reducing the negative impact to the immediate and global environment as a result of my business activities.
In order to meet that commitment, I support the development of renewable energy projects through the purchase of renewable energy credits and carbon offsets through Renewable Choice Energy.
These credits and offsets cover three areas of my business that most impact the environment: my home office, air travel, and auto travel.
Home Office Offsets
I've purchased renewable energy credits for 100% of my home office electricity use, equal to 3,000 kilowatt hours of wind power generation each year. This helps to save up to 3,357 pounds of carbon dioxide pollution annually.
Flight Carbon Offsets
To account for my annual air travel, I've purchased carbon offsets for carbon emissions of 25,000 flight miles a year. This helps save up to 11,576 pounds of carbon dioxide pollution.
Auto Carbon Offsets
For driving to the airport and to client sites, I've purchased auto carbon offsets of 20,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions a year. This offset also supports greenhouse gas reduction at regulated facilities throughout the country.
In total, my renewable energy credits and offsets has an impact that is roughly equilivent to planting 143 mature trees each year.
